Kiingo AI for Zoom
Overview
Kiingo AI for Zoom is an AI-powered meeting intelligence application that connects to your Zoom account to analyze meetings, generate insights, and automate follow-up workflows. The Application processes meeting recordings, transcripts, metadata, and chat messages to help your team capture decisions, track action items, and make the most of every meeting.
Getting Started
1. Install the Application
Install Kiingo AI for Zoom from the Zoom App Marketplace. Click Add or Install and follow the prompts to authorize the Application.
2. Authorize Zoom Access
During installation, you will be prompted to authorize the Application via Zoom's OAuth 2.0 flow. The Application will request access to the following scopes:
- Meeting recordings: access to cloud recordings and transcripts;
- Meeting metadata: access to meeting titles, schedules, and duration;
- Participant information: access to participant names, attendance, and roles;
- Chat messages: access to in-meeting chat messages;
- User profile: access to your Zoom profile for authentication.
You can review and modify these permissions at any time from your Zoom account settings.
3. Enable Cloud Recording
For the Application to process meeting recordings and generate transcriptions, you must have cloud recording enabled in your Zoom settings. The Application does not have access to local recordings stored on your device.
To enable cloud recording:
- Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal;
- Navigate to Settings > Recording;
- Toggle on Cloud recording.
4. Notify Meeting Participants
You are responsible for informing meeting participants that the meeting will be recorded and processed by AI. Many jurisdictions require explicit consent for recording. We recommend:
- Enabling Zoom's built-in recording consent notification;
- Verbally informing participants at the start of each meeting;
- Including a notice in meeting invitations when appropriate.
Features
Meeting Transcription
The Application automatically transcribes cloud-recorded meetings using AI-powered speech recognition. Transcriptions include speaker identification and timestamps. Note that automated transcription may contain errors, especially with technical terminology, accents, or overlapping speech. Always review transcriptions for accuracy.
AI Meeting Summaries
After a meeting is recorded and transcribed, the Application generates a concise summary highlighting key discussion points, decisions made, and topics covered. Summaries are generated automatically and can be reviewed in your Kiingo dashboard.
Action Item Extraction
The Application identifies and extracts action items from meeting content, including task assignments, deadlines, and follow-up commitments. Extracted action items can be reviewed and exported.
Meeting Analytics
View analytics and insights across your meetings, including participation patterns, meeting frequency, topic trends, and team engagement metrics.
Workflow Automation
Configure automated workflows triggered by meeting events, such as:
- Automatically sending meeting summaries to participants;
- Creating tasks in integrated project management tools;
- Scheduling follow-up meetings based on action items;
- Sending reminders for outstanding action items.
